Last week just as Thora had gotten her garage/sewing room all cleaned up, the guild got a fabric donation….
Paula (not a member) had the most fabulous stash of:
Fabrics
Notions
Vintage Quilts
And Sewing Machines
The second machine is a modern machine but this is ’61 vintage with sewing cabinet and heavy!
3 stuffed carloads of goodies made it to Thora’s.
Clearout
Community Quilts stopped by and our guild shed is now packed with lots of fabric. Cindy U. picked up items for the 2 bit auction in July, Debbie W. chose fabrics for making fat quarter packs for the auction, some sewing circles stopped by and found fabric for their next holiday auction quilts, and Sheryl M. picked up some UFO. In typical Sheryl fashion, she has already pieced a few quilts for Community Quilts!
All the quilts were made from UFOs except the Dick and Jane quilt—there she only added the outer borders.
There is still lots and lots of stuff if you want to find material for a community quilt or for the quilt auction. Give Thora a call and she will be glad to show you the stash!
Thora says she will bring some of the stash to the free table at our next meeting, but her car is small so the selection will be limited.
Paula, you may have to give up your title for the “biggest stash”, but you have certainly enriched the guild’s supplies. Thank you!
